How to model ESG in SAP Analytics Cloud
A solid ESG model starts with the right grain. Build your dimensions first (Scope (1/2/3), Site, Country), then add the measures that matter (Scope 1 emissions, Scope 2 emissions, Scope 3 emissions). The trap is aggregation: amounts and volumes sum, but rates and percentages must use AVERAGE, and stocks or balances must use a LAST exception on the time dimension — otherwise your yearly totals come out wrong.
